I absolutely love weddings!! My passion for wedding planning started with my own wedding 16 years ago. From all the fine details to the execution of the big day, I was involved every step of the way. I learned that planning can be fairly overwhelming and it can quite literally take over your life. The experience of planning a wedding should be fun and enjoyable.

I bring that fun and excitement to the weddings that I help my clients to plan. Simple El'egance Events offers affordable consulting packages to meet your wedding planning needs as well as your budget. Many brides and grooms miss the exquisite details and beauty of their special day. You don't have to with Simple El'egance Events. What I love about working with couples is the wonderful relationship that is formed throughout the planning process. When not planning weddings I work as a Senior producer for CBC Television. As an award-winning journalist/producer the skill set and knowledge I have gained over the last 20 years working in the industry is invaluable. Working under tight deadlines, while multi-tasking and rising above various expectations are valuable skills that I bring to the wedding planning process. It's what allows me to capture your vision and tell your wedding story to all of your friends and family.

Looking to get away for your wedding? We offer assistance with destination weddings as well! The Destination Wedding Package was created for couples that want to take their wedding abroad and it includes the services of the Platinum Wedding Package and more. Let Simple El'egance Events take care of all of the wedding and travel arrangements for you and your guests. We have extensive knowledge of destination weddings and work closely with the resorts to offer superb rates. We also work closely with the resort/venue and various local vendors. GLITTER MONTH & WEDDING DAY PACKAGE

We will begin working with you approximately 8 weeks prior to your big day to ensure that you and yours can enjoy a stress-free experience. We take care of all the details so you don’t have to. This package was created for couples that have planned many of the details on their own, but still, want a wedding coordinator to tie up all of the loose ends and be present on their big day. We are here to resolve any issues, concerns or problems and help with last minute details. GOLD DESIGN WEDDING DAY PACKAGE

In addtion to planning your big day one of our specialties is to create a unique and visual experience for you and your guests. We do so by having that one-on-one relationship with you and your fiance so we can get a clear vision of what speaks to you. We will create a mood board that comprises of wedding colours, theme and spatial room arrangement so you have a clear sense of how your wedding day will look and feel. Depending on the wedding reception size we will execute the design decor or collaborate with one of our preferred vendors.

I had the pleasure of working with Nicole & Raquel to plan my destination wedding which was scheduled to take place in May 2021. Unfortunately, the pandemic had other plans and we were forced to postpone. Even though the uncertainty of the situation caused me a lot of stress and anxiety, they kept me calm and hopeful that my special day would take place and that it would be just the way I envisioned. Nicole & Raquel were available at any time to take my calls, respond to texts and answer any questions that I had, which made the planning process so much easier.

In July 2021, we decided to have a small civil ceremony as there were still restrictions due to the pandemic. Nicole & Raquel made the day so magical and were able to pull it together very quickly. My ceremony was better than I could have ever imagined.

We continued to work towards having a celebration of marriage the following year in Jamaica in hopes that the pandemic would resolve. We held regular touch base meetings to ensure things were moving along as planned. Unfortunately, the pandemic remained ongoing but with restrictions being eased around the world, we felt comfortable going ahead with our plans. In May 2022, my husband and I celebrated our marriage in front of family and friends in Jamaica. Throughout the wedding planning process, Nicole and Raquel did their absolute best to make sure everything was the way we wanted, and it was absolutely perfect.

I highly recommend Simple El’egance Events for your local and/or destination wedding, no matter how big or small. They made me feel like a friend and not just a client, which is something I will never forget!

My husband and I met with Raquel and Nicole back in 2019 with the impression of planning a destination wedding. However, due to Covid 19, we had to make some adjustments. We worked alongside them for three years planning a wedding and throughout the process, they were truly amazing to work with. They provided us with the ability to choose what we loved with their guidance and experience. The process of planning a wedding was enjoyable. We loved every stage of it as it became closer to the date and that was because of Simple El’egance. Our first touch was fantastic as it allowed us to calm our nerves a bit. You ladies kept us on time and stuck to the schedule. When it came down to the second wedding day, Raquel took the lead as Nicole stood by my side as a bridesmaid. Raquel was absolutely amazing. Not only did she ensure everything flowed on time, but she does everything with the upmost grace. That's just her nature, beautiful on the inside and out. I have known Raquel for the past 15 years. She has always had a knack for planning, so when she got into the business (Simple El'egance ) it was no surprise to me. My fiance and I knew we needed a wedding planner due to our hectic schedules and concern that we wouldn't have the time to piece everything together ourselves. We were referred to three different wedding planners. We met each of them and Nicole was the last to be interviewed. There was something different about Nicole that just stood out.

Her enthusiasm, excitement, creativity, and confidence radiated through and in the first five minutes, we knew she was the 'one'. Immediately after the meeting, she began throwing out ideas, learning about our story and brainstormed on the spot how we could tell it on our wedding day.

Nicole, sourced many different big items for our wedding, including the artiste who would be creating my dress. She corresponded with her on my behalf making sure she was going to deliver on time and have me blown away, and blown away I was.

Nicole came with me to important meetings for decor, to determine many fine details that I didn't think of! She worked tirelessly on the stationaries, invites, the thank you gifts to guests, itineraries - EVERYTHING!

Nicole was the sole contact person at our resort in Jamaica where we would be having our destination wedding for 125 people! I didn't have to worry about one thing. She single-handedly, coordinated the entire day, ensuring we met timelines, that guests were happy and most importantly, that my husband and I were happy.

We also had an all-white party day following the wedding at the resort for all of our guests. Nicole creatively incorporated our wedding reception decor for the white party and it looked absolutely stunning! Not only that, I planned a bridesmaid photo-shoot and she directed it too, along with my photographer and the photos came out remarkable!

Her amazing service went beyond the wedding day and we were astounded by it all. Through her passion, amazing and authentic personality, I have bonded with her and now call her friend. She will be a part of our lives for years to come and will hopefully be open to plan our vow renewal in five years! By then, we can easily see that she'll be wedding planning for A-List celebs, but we will cross our fingers till then.

Nicole was the Day of Coordinator along with her assistant, Richard, for my wedding that had approx. 450 guests. There were several cultural elements to the wedding outside of a typical wedding. Although it was her first time with this particular cultural wedding, she handled herself very well throughout the day. At times, we were behind schedule and her and Richard worked together to make any necessary adjustments and make the day go smoothly. She was very patient! She advised my bridesmaids at the rehearsal to pick up a couple of things that would be needed for the day that we didn’t think of such as capes so that we could eat and snack in the limo without spilling anything on our dresses. That was crucial!! She assisted the decorator by dropping off bridal flowers to my home the day of the wedding and stuck around to help us with anything we needed such as loading our personal effects into the limo. Nicole is well organized and a great communicator which is critical for the role of a Day of Coordinator. I would recommend her services and wish her all the best with her business! Our issue happened to be the volume on the video presentation for Simon's dad's memorial tribute. This was a sensitive time for his family and when we couldn't hear anything both Simon and I got really concerned UNTIL you grabbed a microphone and stood there so the volume would be amplified.
